Question

Anonymous asked: Why don't you make Latitudes and Longitudes free on Bandcamp for just one day? Thank you a lot for your music.

Everything is free on the Internet anyways.

If someone decides to pay for our music, they’ve made a conscious decision to support us and help us keep doing what we’re doing. We’re very grateful whenever that happens. It isn’t really about accessibility.

Question

Anonymous asked: What bands do you guys listen to? Favorite song/album of all time? I hate everything, but you guys are legit.

Thanks. Here are some of our favorite bands:

The Weakerthans. Fugazi. Small Brown Bike. Braid. Iron Chic. Otis Redding. Hard Girls. Elvis Costello. Sundials. The National. Saintseneca. Dinosaur Jr.. Bomb The Music Industry. Hot Water Music. Bridge And Tunnel. Restorations. Guided By Voices. Osker. Torche. RX Bandits. Sam Cooke. Cheap Girls. Into It. Over It.. Latterman. Ted Leo & the Pharmacists.

these are just some off the top of my head / who I’ve consciously tried to emulate

Question reblogged from Restorations

Anonymous asked: Do you guys still have day jobs? Do you make any real $ off the band?

restorations:

All 5 of us still work full time. The band makes enough to get from show to show (and occasionally country to country), but we’re definitely not paying rent on it. The odds are very poor - I’m amazed at what we’ve been able to do. Its certainly fun, if not very lucrative.

Audio post reblogged from Whatever, Forever - Played 114 times

Soon you’ll be gone and I’ll settle in to stay. You always had a penchant for pushing me away. So while you’re talking of taking the next flight out, I’ll be the one you’re forgetting about. Now it’s time to start again, time to start again…
