Latitudes and Longitudes is what happens when four men at the top of their game get together and think hard about how to best use their skills. This is easily one of the best of ’11 in any genre, and I’ll be listening to this long into ’12.

spent the afternoon assembling “Latitudes & Longitudes” LPs. these are the copies that we’ll have at upcoming shows. if you pre-ordered one, it should be on its way before the new year! if you didn’t, you can snag one HERE if you’d like.
you know, it’s strange. in every musical project i’ve ever been involved with, there’s always been something that has gone TOTALLY WRONG that drastically impacts the final product and leaves me bummed out. but this record is the first thing i’ve ever done that i feel 100% (okay, maybe like 99%) confident about when i hold it in my hands. it came out better than i could have ever imagined, from the recording process to the artwork to the packaging to the people involved.
we are so grateful.
special thanks to Sophie and Jake Stern for helping me put these together. sibling power!

Day two of summer tour found us in La Crosse, Wisconsin. A few kind gentlemen in the illustrious 123 Walrus learned the horn part to our song “The Weight & the Waiting” and jumped up to play it with us.
Photo reblogged from Aaron Freeder
Aaron Freeder is a very smart and talented dude. Check him out.
